They remove the Banister.

While visiting the tenant for another reason I found that the tenant had removed the banister and banister posts. My 2nd floor apartment had a difficult stairway. It has 2 landings. There is a post at the bottom of the stair and one on each landing. Well it seems that they were having trouble moving the furniture up stairs. So they removed two of the posts and the banister between them. The entire banister is old painted pine.

I was shocked. I looked down at the hole in the flooring where the 6x6 banister post was. The tenant immediately said they could not get their furniture up stairs any other way. Then they said the will fix it Saturday. No matter what they do I'm sure it will look terrible.

I have scheduled an inspection of the entire unit.

Thanks
