Should I abate rent while power is out for hurricane?

I don't see why you would. Its not your fault its out (I assume). A mortgage company doesn't cut the borrower any slack when the power goes out. If you want to do it out of the goodness of your heart, go for it. But I see no reason why you would have any obligation to do it.
