Landlord kept part of the deposit
I ended the tenancy agreement with my landlady by mutual agreement. I moved out of the flat on the 2nd April however the agreement ends on the 16th April. The landlady has found another tenant who moved in on the 5th April. When returning my deposit the landlady deducted the rent from the 6th to the 16th April and transferred the rest back to me. My question is whether she is allowed to charge 2 people for 1 room? Is there anything I can do to get the money back?
Thanks.

In general, a landlord is NOT allowed to collect double rent. If someone moved in on the 6th and started paying rent, she's NOT allowed to charge you for rent for those days.
She may be allowed to charge you other fees, but not double rent.
Try googling for " landlord tenant" law. There may also be landlord/tenant dispute resolution groups in your area who could help. Find the actual statutes, and write a letter back stating the rent should be returned, assuming its not allowed in your area. If she refuses, you may have to go to small claims court. Some areas allow double or treble damages for improperly withheld security deposits.
