600 credit score an unrealistically high number for an $800 SFR?

I'm trying to fill a nicely refurbished house in a county with very little rental property available and desirable schools. The rent is $790 for a 3/1.5 with a large yard in a small town that provides water/sewer/garbage. The house is all electric and very high efficiency with LED lighting, low flow toilets, brand new heat pump providing heat and air conditioning.

The majority of respondents to my renter profile respond that they don't meet the minimum 600 credit score. I don't feel that 600 is all that high but am I shooting too high on this or do I just need to wait? My other criteria are non smoker, no cats, dogs with fee, and income 3 times rental, etc.

If 600 ish is unreasonable, what numbers do ya'll use?

After doing some additional "credit score" research, I've decided that 600 is certainly not shooting too high as most consider that in the fair to poor range. My thinking is that if someone can't maintain at least a 600, then they're "on the edge" fiscally and I'd rather have them find other housing options. Thanks for the input.
