First Deal in the Works

I am currently working on my first deal in obtaining an owner occupied duplex to rent out (YAY!!!). Because we are first time homebuyers, we will be obtaining a loan using our personal credit instead of getting a loan through our LLC. Curious if anyone else has done the same thing and how long it usually takes until we can transfer the property to our LLC and take some liability burden off of us personally? Also, wondering if it's better for accounting purposes to funnel profits back into our LLC?
