Single Family House Hacking in Columbus, OH

Hello BP community,

I am looking for advice on anyone who as bought and rented out rooms within their house on how the overall experience went while you/significant other lived there as well.

I live in a single family home in a suburb of Columbus, OH called Victorian Village.

More specifically, what went well and what did you look for when screening tenants to live in your home. I am actively looking for tenants and have posted ads on craigslist and other social media sites. Did you engage an attorney to compile a lease application for the prospective renters?

Any insight or areas to be made aware of would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

Ben
