Taxed on rental income if still paying mortgage?
Hey guys!
I am still very new in this industry and need some help here. I managing my mother-in-laws property and taking care of everything for her via POA. I know ultimately she will have to file the 1099 but are you taxed on the whole rent amount or just the actual profit that you make? She is also still paying off her mortgage, does that affect anything financially related to this question? Thanks for any insight!
