Repairs - Are you always present as a Landlord?

I guess my question is - when you have somebody come to do repairs - is it OK to schedule the appointment, and have the Tenant let them in on their schedule?

Or are you supposed to be there to not inconvenience the Tenant?

I've always done the former.
