Just hired as PM...No Experience
I was just hired by a local real estate company for a 10 hour a week property manager position managing 16 properties. I have some basic real estate knowledge and experience with buying and selling my own properties but I have never managed properties before. I'm interested in being the best property manager that I can be but I need to know where I can start. The broker agent who hired me is learning how to PM from the current PM who is leaving. Any advice would bemuch appreciated.

Number one priority is you must study/learn and completely understand the state Landlord Tenant Regulations. They are the bible you operate from in regards to all tenant issues.
If you do not know the laws and understand how they are enforced you should not be involved in any way in dealing with tenants.
All PMs and landlords must know the laws or should never be interacting with tenants.
