Buying and Renting Student Properties in U.K.?
Hi everyone,
I'm completely new to real estate and am looking for advice or a mentor's tips on the whole process of figuring out whether renting student property in the UK is sustainable and then going forward and acquiring a property. I feel it's a good investment as most houses in the area I'm interested in take between £450 and £800+ a week gross income (around £70-120 per person in houses occupying between 4-7 residents typically). As I'm a novice and therefore would feel extremely naive trusting my own opinion, I'd appreciate any sort of help understanding the numbers and legal sides of the process.
Thanks
Matt

Hi Matt,
I'm based in London and have also looked into investing in student lets here in the UK. You might want to take a look at the Property Tribes website which has useful forums for student accommodation and lots of other topics. Not quite as good as BP, but still ... : )
