Return of Deposit to hold property I never moved into​

I paid a $650 deposit to hold a property I wanted to move into 

on July 1st but I never moved in can I get my full deposit back in Indiana?

Hi @Brandon Stephens . While this may seem unfair to you, I'm assuming the landlord took the property off the market and assumed it would be rented started July 1.

Did you sign anything? I'm thinking you signed a document stating this is a non-refundable holding deposit that perhaps turns into a security deposit once you move in?

Why are you no longer moving in on July 1? How soon after you paid the deposit did you change your mind?
