Tenant declared bankruptcy
A potential applicant just called me. She lost her house to foreclosure last year, which I know is not a dealbreaker from these forums, but also declared bankruptcy at the same time. Should the bankruptcy have any effect on accepting her, assuming everything else (current income, etc.) checks out okay? Thanks.

People go to jail for failing to pay child support. I've seen the deadbeats go to jail for up to 60 days in Ohio. Obviously, while they're in jail they aren't going to be paying you. Furthermore, if they're such scum that they won't even take care of their kid, why would you think that they will pay you?
