Advice on live in rental property. Want to avoid drama

Hi all

I just purchased a triplex and am living in the main home. My two rear homes are for rent. Homes do not share any walls

Could you guys give me some general advice on how to make this successful with no headaches or drama? Should I say I'm the landlord? What are some other common mistakes to avoid ??

Tell your tenants you are the owner and operate as a professional. Drama is created by owner/landlords that do not distance themselves from their tenant. They are not your friends they are customers and need to be kept at arms length at all times. Many will advise you lie and hide behind a title. You can lie and hide  but they will eventually find out you are the owner. Just be professional.
