Newbie to renting an apartment

I signed the lease last Saturday, paid half month rent and it's mine on the 15th. I've only just noticed the damage on a window frame from termites which were taken care of. The glass in the frame has sunk down and is exposed to the outside by half an inch. Is this something I should get written and signed by my landlord to fix immediately after my lease is active? What are my option? Thank you so much!
