Tenant Damaged Walls

Did a pre-move visit on property and tenant pointed out several spots they know they damaged walls in several locations throughout the house.  They said they were going to patch and paint them.  They are now contacting me saying they cannot properly match the wall colors ( I have offered the original paint chips) and they want to know what I want them to do.  I need a way to word my response that they don't use it as a means to be off the hook for the painting work that will need to be done after their move out.

Suggestions?

@Loy G. You have to be reasonable. if they have been there 5 years then you should probably let them off the hook on the painting. The patchwork is their responsibility. If they have been there less than 5 years then you should charge them for painting that wall. If you have the paint to match it still will not look good without painting the entire wall. You shouldn't have to paint the entire room unless of course the other walls are bad. Its your call. Normal wear and tear is subjective and a gray area.
