Need Some Direction with Vacation Rentals

Hi Everyone!

I am interested in purchasing vacation rentals on the beach or in the mountains.  I have been noticing that many websites I have visited will have convenient online booking.  Does anyone here do this?  

I'm really looking for resources to understand what's involved with vacation rentals, especially if I'm not living in the same state where the property is located.  I'm wondering how investors deal with property managers, cleaning services, payment etc.  I'm just starting the info gathering process here and I'd love any feedback or resources you can suggest so I can learn more before I dive in and make a purchase!
