How does Facebook have my tenants in list of people I may know!?

On Facebook yesterday (a rare event) and was scrolling through the list of people I may know who they suggest as "friends", and was surprised by the number of people shown who I actually do know (a shockingly accurate listing). And even more surprising, it included 4 of my tenants! So how does Facebook associate me with my tenants to be able to put them within this suggested friends list of people I may know?

Further, I have no "mutual friends" with these 4 tenants in Facebook; and for two of them, I do not even own the rental property directly, as I only control them via Lease-Options - so my name is on nothing associated with the property. I'm therefore really curious as to how Facebook knows to associate me with my tenants, as I have no desire to be Facebook Friends with my tenants - or for them to even know that much about me.

One of my favorite sayings... "Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me!"
