LAHD Registration of new-to-market home previously owner occupied

New to this community, wonder if other landlords have experience to share. We own two adjacent properties. We rent out the duplex next door and both of those units are registered with LAHD. The house where we live also has a guest house, and we are looking to move and rent it out. Should we register it? do we have to? how does that process work?
