What would you put over this floor space?

I found out today that I will not be able to find a tile match for these missing tiles. So I need to put something over this before the tenant moves in.

Someone suggested a half wall. I don't know how expensive that is to do, and I'm trying to save money at this point because I have other repairs to do in the house. Is there anything I could buy in the store to put over this that tenants might like, that could be affixed in this space but possibly removed at some point in the future without messing up the wall? I was thinking that eventually I'll have to retile the whole room anyway, so I could decide just to remove whatever I put there and retile over that space in that event.

This is in the kitchen/living room (which are really just one big room with nothing dividing them.)
