How do I ask tenant about using their water

So, I'm trying to figure out how to ask my tenant if I can use the external water faucet on their side so that I can pressure wash the house, and I'll pay them for whatever water I use.... I have a property management in place that I plan on getting rid of so that I can go ahead and self manage. How should I ask the tenant about this? Should I go through the PM and have them ask the tenant? Or should I just get her number from the PM and contact her myself? Or should I just knock on the door? I'm kind of confused as to how to ask her.
