How long after leaving can a tenant dispute the damage deposit
I am putting together a well documented listing of all of damages caused by the renter along with photos. Which will far exceed the damage deposit.
How long do I need to hold onto these records.
How long does the renter have to dispute either the damages listed or the cost for the repairs.
Just wondering how long I might have to deal with this person...
thanks

What's the statute of limitation in MN for filing in small claims court? Two or four years would be my non-lawyer guess. Keep it for as long as they can legally come back at you. I would suggest just scan everything and put it on Google Drive, OneDrive, iCloud, etc. and keep them indefinitely. That's what I've gone to doing.
