What's the most effective vehicle to advertise a rental property?

That's basically the question, vehicle as in: Sign, MLS, website such as zillow, trulia, etc. Likely a combination of several... I have a nice property about 5 miles from a major air force base in great schools, close to a park. 3/2/2.

My initial thought is to advertise on the air base only and at one of the major businesses next to the base (I have access to a 2500 employee company).  I can almost guarantee a quality tenet pool this way.

What do tenets use to find rentals? Craigslist? Zillow? MLS?

Help me with Zillow, the problem I see with Zillow is that it keeps track of the history of what you have been asking and how long the house has been sitting. Something I would prefer to keep private.

What do you all say?
