What to do with previous homeowners after tax deed auction?

I just bought a tax deed property in the panhandle of Florida.  The current homeowners are still residing there.  They have no money to leave and are in very poor health.  They want to go to a month to month lease so they can find a new place.  They have been cooperative and allowed access to the house.  The interior condition is pretty bad.  They are hoarders and the house smells very bad of cat urine.  I am hoping that we don't have to get to eviction and am open to doing a month to month lease for a few months.  How would a month to month lease change the eviction process or would it?  Would it make it easier since they are now considered tenants?  I want to be sympathetic but also don't want to put myself in a bad position here.  Thanks for any help!
