Security Deposit Question
I recently discovered that the tenants on the lease were no longer living in the unit. There is now a different couple living there. No idea when this occurred as they have been putting original tenants name on their money order. Rent paid promptly, no issues at all. There is a language barrier. Had onsite managers sign new rental agreement with current tenants. There is a small security deposit given by original tenants that I hold. Not sure what to do when current/new tenants leave (don't think they are leaving anytime soon but one never knows). I did not collect any new security. Any suggestions on how to handle this situation re the original security deposit?
