Other munies in STL besides Berkeley applying 30% rental limit?

Hello all,

I went to Berkeley City Hall today to apply for an occupancy inspection for one of my rental properties located in Berkeley, MO.

The lady at the finance office gave me a copy of ordinance number 4320, bill number 4456(see links below), which became effective January 2017. In so many words, it states that there is now a 30% limit on rental properties per block for districts R1, R2 and R3, if my understanding is correct.

As an investor, this has me very concerned.

Is anybody aware of similar ordinances(limiting rentals), put in place by other municipalities in St. Louis, MO?

@Jorge Garifuna

Thanks for sharing the documents. I close on a property this week in Berkeley, MO and just learned about this new Ordinance. I spoke with the city and luckily the property I am acquiring is already registered with the city as a rental, but a good lesson learned to call the city and verify there are no roadblocks for future purchases. I don't have enough experience to tell you what other St. Louis municipalities have similar regulations. I do know Florissant, MO has imposed some rules on landlords where you have to take an 8hr class, live within 50 miles, etc.
