Question for "Don't be the owner tip".

I was reading this article https://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/2016/07/30/how-to-be-a-landlord/. The last tip says don't be the owner so you can avoid more confrontations. This seems like a great idea, but I don't have a broker's license. So would it be legal for me to say I am the property manager?

I've owned and managed properties for owners, I've never had an issue letting a tenant or renter know who I am or how they can contact me. I want them to know I'm an active landlord / owner and want them to respect my property and know I take great pride in what I do which is provide good housing.
