Does the owner need to be with contractor in a rented unit?

I have tried to do some research on this but came up with nothing. I'd appreciate your help with this.

It's probably Massachusetts specific.

My unit is rented with a 1 year lease in Massachusetts. There is some paint work being done. It takes two days. I was there on the first day to meet with the painter and go through what needs to be done. Would the landlord need to be present while the painter is working? I think the answer is no, but I wanted to double check here.

Thanks in advance!

Is he insured, I'd have no problem with my regular contractor doing the work if they were to have subs they hire that could pose a issue if they aren't attended but the main contractor is still responsible for them and I make sure I expect that. I actually also give contractor tenants info so if any scheduling issues they can notify them also. Honestly if we babysat each service call we might as well do the work ourselves. My plumber, my electrician and painter all have access to my apartment keys and go in as needed, emergency or planned appointments.

I've never had something missing, and or something damaged, they usually leave unit better than when they went in. The more you relay the fact that the contractor is NORMAL and you as business owner is familiar with them your tenant shouldn't have any other concerns.
