Solutions on how to address tree divided by property line.

Currently there is a decaying tree divided by my property line and the landlord next door. When I purchased a survey to mark the property it spilt the tree down the middle. I’ve spoken with the tenants next door to acquire their landlord’s information. After speaking with the tenants they stated the landlord stated the tree isn’t on his property and he’s not responsible.

My goal is for us to split the cost and cut the tree before there is a chance of a branch falling and hurting someone or damaging property.

Bigger Pockets Community how would you address this situation?

Cut down the half on your property and leave the half up on his property. It will probably cost you more to do that, but it will show him. ;)
