Landlords financing Tenants Christmas
I have 22 apartments all with respectful tenants Who for the most part pay their rent on time and take good care of their units. But It happens every time Christmas rolls around. I start getting calls asking if they can pay half the rent now, and remaining balance in a couple weeks.
I always allow it, but I feel like I am financing their Christmas. Why can't people manage their affairs better?
It's like asking a complete stranger for $1500 to pay for their kids Christmas presents and telling them they will pay them back in two weeks.
Don't even get me started about overloaded dumpsters! Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all bigger pockets folks.

If you don't like it, don't do it. If you don't mind a handful of scheduled late payments, still makin' money.
If my tenant wanted an extension on their December rent, they know the late fee rules. I would leave it up to the tenant to determine if some junky, Chinese Christmas presents and visiting family that can't remember your kids' names or ages is worth the fees.
