Property damage due to a break-in

I have a SF rental where the tenant has encountered a break-in where a window was broken. Tenant has occupied and maintained the property for about four years. My question is: Am I responsible for repairing the broken window or is that the tenant's responsibility? The lease is a standard Chicago apartment lease and I do not find any specifics pertaining to vandalism. Any advice would be appreciated.

I cannot imagine why you think that would be the tenant responsibility. If a drunk driver drives into the house, would that be her responsibility? What if a tree falls and damages the roof? Renter's insurance wouldn't cover something like that anyway.....it.covers the tenant's contents, and maybe some liability for actions by the tenant.
