Rental demand is the high because home ownership is so low

I just read this blog post (from property management software provider Buildium) about the dismal state of home ownership in the US.   It's worth reading in full, but the quick summary is that low home ownership rates are creating strong renter demand, which makes it a good time to be a landlord.

Said another way, providing good rental houses is a great business opportunity both now and for the foreseeable future.

This is exactly why I continue to be an active buyer in my local market of Memphis.
