Immigrant renters and their issues!

The appartments where I live dont want to renew my lease because my husband is an iligal immigrant, why one year ago that wasnt an issue? So I have 60 days to move out and find a new place for us and our kids! I am concerned because when I move here everything went well but now this, that wasnt in our plans! Is this even lega! I am legal so are my kids we are on the contract they even said "well your husband has to move out than" how does that makes sence!! Alot of appartemts are getting empty for the same reason! And knowing that I loved this place And now I am beeing ckicked  out of it! 😞 Just need some opinions and advice! Even though  I am pretty sure there is nothing to do I am still praying for a miracle!
