Is $500K of Landlord Personal Liability per Occurrence Reasonable

I purchased a duplex last month. The current management company asks that I maintain $500k of landlord and premise liability insurance per each occurrence and asks that we add them as an additional insured. I checked my current insurance policy and it only has $100k for "personal liability: each occurrence". Does $500K sound extremely high? I'm scared it will make my insurance premiums skyrocket.

I agree with @Derek Lacy, we carry 2M of liability coverage because the cost difference between 500k, 1M, and 2M was pretty negligible and if something did happen, I'd rather be overprotected vs under protected.
