Tenant complaining of Mold issues

I currently have a tenant that has been causing issues since day 1. The first three months, he automatically fixed minor things with the house and deducted the expenses from the monthly rent despite being told not to do that and I will take care of whatever issues from my own pocket. I replaced the dryer after he had broken it right away. So I have addressed all his issues in a timely fashion, and now he complains that his son has developed asthma due to mold in the house. The only visual sign of something similar looking to mold is on a door to the attic (no sign or smell anywhere else in the house or sign of water leak). Since he keeps causing issues, I suggested it may be best for your son, pregnant wife and him to start looking for another spot so that I can get the house properly checked out for mold. The next day, he stated that I threatened to kick him out and that I knew there was a mold issue this whole time which is not the case, he goes on to say that I will have my attorney contact you so you can pay me back all my money and any related costs. I have been searching for a certified mold inspection & testing company and tried to schedule an appointment but he refuses to respond to my texts or phone calls & voicemails. I just want to make sure that I am following the correct procedure according to maryland laws to ensure that I am fulfilling my landlord responsibilities to help relieve any issues, incase he decides to take me to court.
