Sec. 8 Vouchers ?
Hi everyone,
Is it worth it to rent your property to a sec. 8 tenant ? What are some of the benefits of this program ? I'm assuming you get fair market value for your rental units ? How does the inspection process work ? Is it very diffucult to get sec. 8 voucher tenants in your apartment ? Thanks.
Steve

DannyO makes a good point.
But it's still possible to rent your property to bad tenants without the help of Section 8. Ask for references, take a look at their credit, limit the number of individuals in the property, communicate on a regular basis, and make regular inspections. Everyone on the government dole isn't pushing drugs and tearing up house.
