What is your buy and hold long term strategy?

Please explain in detail your buy and hold strategy. How many properties do you want to buy and within what time frame? Are single unit properties sometimes better than multi unit properties and why or why not? How many properties do you ultimately want to have and how old do you want to be when you retire?
