Remote temperature monitoring?
Does anyone use any remote monitoring systems that are really affordable (like a couple bucks/month) that use a cell network and not need a internet connection for tracking temperature of smaller apartment buildings? I'd love to monitor the basement temps and get alerts but hate to spend a ton of money on it.

Although this thread is dead - thought i would give an update (rather than my typical lurking!) since I used this post a few months ago to find a product that seemed to work great.
I had a similar issue to John K. with needing a non-wifi remote monitor for a few commercial properties we have. (recently had an issue with a boiler going out causing pipes freezing and also a split unit going out on our network room - causing the servers to over heat).
I researched the company Bryan O suggested and purchased a Marcell Pro unit for my sites and it has worked great. Uses cell network so works even when there is a power outage. Trends temperature, humidity, power and comes with a wireless water sensor we use for sump pumps. Gives our engineers a call or text when temperatures go out of range or power is lost. The Pro version allows for dashboards across all our sites and creating "read only" usernames access for our engineers.
About 220 bucks per unit and 15 bucks a month. 3 months in - so far so good.
Thanks all!
