What are regulations about snow removal from driveways/walkways?

Any special rules for landlords in winter time in Chicago, like puting salt on walkways?

Talking about 2-4 unit house.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for people they use to shovel the snow of their buildings? It's really hard to get good reliable people to do snow removal...I seem to go through new guys every season.
