When To List Rental - Before or After Closing
When do you typically list your rentals? I am curious if anyone lists the properties before they actually close on the deal? It seems like I should get ahead of it and list it but don't want to jump ahead. Please let me know your thoughts.

You could prescreen them, but most people aren't going to pay application fees or allow you to run credit, etc without seeing the place first. What you could do, and what I have done in the past, is advertise the property as coming soon. You can get a list of people interested and once you close on it you can have an open house style showing where they are all invited. In that kind of setting, you'll lease it that day if you have good interest.
