Bounced Security Deposit Check

Hello, I have a tenant that has signed the lease, but he is not occupying the property. His security deposit bounced. I'm looking at the lease now, but I would also like some advice on what to do. Thand.

Rule no 1 that I have learn. Always get a cashier's check for a security deposit/first month's rent when you sign the lease and hand over the keys.

If they have not moved in yet, and you cannot get a hold of them, check your lease if there is a abandonment clause. And check your local county in regards to rules/regulations.

If you did get a hold of them, and you're getting a bunch of excuses, I would start the eviction process.
