eviction/ trespassing in NY state- question

Hello- Anyone have experience in NY state re: eviction procedures, etc? I have an issue upstate, and do not have other history working in NY.
On same note, has anyone heard or used a legal doc called a 7-Day Notice of Trespass? It is essentially used for a "vagrant" without any lease agreement- someone that is just occupying the apartment. I believe this is used in some other States. Thanks for any insight here.
