Home Warranty

Good morning everyone, I'm interested in potentially getting a home warranty for a home that I'd like to rent.  Currently the home needs some plumbing work, should I get the home warranty or should I just hire out the work?  Based on home warranty price points in addition to the deductible I likely would be better off going the home warranty route as oppose to hiring for a permanent fix.  Any ideas/suggestions?  Home is in Chicago.
