The importance of staging your pictures for your rental

I was just looking at some rental ads and stumbled upon a very nice looking home for rent.  Asking price is $3500/month.  I don't feel right posting the picture here, but the picture of the laundry room had the litter box in view. On top of that, it hadn't been cleaned in at least a couple of days!  Totally disgusting. 

What is the worst thing you have seen in a rental property photo?  Go!
