Garage space question

Jeff Williams
Posted

I currently own a mobile home in MN. I rent space at a trailer park. My question is: The home I own had a garage right next to it, when the previous owner sold the home, he sold the garage to the landlord. The lights and electricity are and have been wired into my home, so I pay for it. Does this give me the right to use some of the space in this garage?

I have been keeping my motorcycle in it for the last few months, and the landlord has been getting a little pissy about it. I don't think he has the right to ask me to not keep it in there being that I pay the utilities for it. He has been allowing his brother to keep his snowblowers and other items in it, but this guy pays nothing.

Thanks for any help/opinions you can offer!
