this is a first for me and i am not sure what to do.

we give immaculate houses to the first time tenants (first after rehab). just months after a couple with 4 kids moved in, the house is messy. it's like a bomb exploded. clothes, couches, bottles, cleaning supplies, toys, bags, you name it..... is EVERYWHERE.

the outside is not bad, just some toys. but the inside is horrid.

i do not have a provision in the lease for them to keep the inside clean. i can't think of a way to enforce it and how stupid would it be to "go check how clean a rental is"... to me it is a silly idea.

but anyway.... i can't make them "care" for the house, i can't make them clean it. i just dont want them to trash it beyond just a wear and tear. honestly, i am hoping the layer of junk and clothes would be protecting the hardwood and the tiles, lol

any ideas on what to do?
