Do you follow up with tenant after repairing something?

So, I have either repaired or addressed several issues in a unit of mine.

1. Repaired= something needed to be fixed, so I fixed it, with hopes that it is all set.

(example is water was splashing out from under glass shower door. I put a rubber sweep on it, hoping that would stop water from coming out)

2. Addressed= I have taken a look at something, but did not alter/fix/etc anything, just spoke to tenant about it/what to do.

(example is toilet was clogging and seemed to me that they were not holding the flusher down long enough to get enough water to fill up the bowl and flush. I told them to begin doing this (they are green so they were just tapping it down, but toilet not powerful/new enough to flush everything down)....hoping that would fix things)

My question is: Would you normally follow up with tenants regarding this stuff, or just wait and see if they come to you saying issues are still happening? I don't want to make more work for myself if I don't need to (them bringing up other things), but I also don't want something broken in an apartment where someone is living...what do you do??
