Risk of paying for tenant's damage on the commuty property

Hi fellow BP members, I am closing on a SFR with a commuty center, which offers pool, game room, etc. The HOA rule says the owners should be responsible if their tenants or friends damage community property. I am not sure how to protect my interest in this case. Maybe I can do something like making tenants responsible for such damage in the lease. Not sure how to word it or if it is enforcible. My property is in Temecula, CA. Thanks!
