My tenant who moved out recently demands more deposit refunded

I had taken pictures of the house before the tenant moved in. On the day of final walk-thru after moving out, i documented and photographed all the damages. After the tenant left, I observed couple more damages. Major one was the garage door panel was dented. I photographed that and included in the estimate. Tenant claims that it was in good condition and was not aware of any damage. I have the before and after photo of the garage. Tenant wants the money back, else would like to bring it up in small claims. Any advice? Thanks.
