good (inexpensive) credit/background check for prospect tenants
Hello friends,
Can you please suggest a good ( and inexpensive) web site where I can check a prospect tenant's credit history and background . What do you guys usually check?
Thank you

Check to see if Ohio has a state landlord association. Our state has one with a $20/person fee to get criminal, credit (not the score, but the details and a "fitness score"), and they phone to verify income source. That is a great price. We do have to use their application form.
If someone moves in later (roommate, boyfriend, etc) we only run a criminal check, which we run through the state patrol. Example: http://www.wsp.wa.gov/crime/crimhist.htm
Another reasonable option is http://www.aaacredit.net/, we were happy with them before we found out state option.
In my opinion you need to know prior addresses and debt/judgement, both from the credit report, and a solid criminal check.
