Recently Rented Listings

Hello all, I am looking for a resource that can provide recently rented properties and the approximate price it was rented for in my target area. Does this even exist? Potentially not because it's not public record like a sale? Ultimately, I am trying to get an unbiased opinion on how robust the rental market is in my target area as well as pricing. The closest I have found is Zillows rent Zestimate but accuracy is a concern. I'm trying to avoid: 1. Purchasing a rental property with low demand for its location/size/features/price 2. An ARV which exceeds what's necessary or in demand for area An agent is a potential, but an agent looking for a sale it's not entirely unbiased. Rental market strength is not a concern for them after the sale. Any feedback greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
